Pastor Siyan Digal was born in a Christian family. His family went through hardship while growing up. He could not complete his high school due to the lack of financial resources.
However, he started having bad company and started taking drugs, and alcohol. During this time he fell in love with a girl who was not from their caste and married her against the will of his family. He thought he was going to be happy but it did not turn out that way. He went into depression and wanted to kill himself. At that point of his life, he called out to Jesus and started reading his Bible and felt the love of God in his life. After that he saw many miracles in his
life and committed his life to serve Jesus.
Pastor Siyan and his wife Anupama Pradhan are now serving in Phiringia village in Rayagada district which is very hostile towards the Christians and gospel workers. Pastor Siyan has encountered persecution many times but is determined to serve the Lord. Through his ministry three families from tribal Hindu
background have come to know the Lord and are baptized.

Prayer Points:
For boldness to share the gospel
Building of new leaders and disciple makers

ABOUT WESTERN ODISHA
With a population of 19 million people, predominantly Hindus, Western Odisha (Koshal) has been in the news for a few years now, because of the huge persecution against Christians in the state. Despite the persecution, the Lord is drawing thousands of people to Himself. The Christian population is growing
which consists mostly of the tribal people.
Western Odisha is experiencing revival as more and more people are coming to Christ. This is one of the most fertile field and stands out as one of the most missionary sending place in Índia.
