| I am Prasant Kumar Sethy, from the state of Andra pradesh in India. I was born and brought up in a hindu family, but God called me and seperated for his ministry. As a result, I went through different kinds of struggles and persecutions from my own family members. Even my own elder brother is a member of RSS, a hindu fanatic group, whose agenda is to make india 100% hindu nation. Many times my brother tried to kill me, but all the times almighty God saved me. In my early stage of Christian journey, my father fell in an illegal relationship with his collegue, thus my mother had to go away from my home. She went to her brother, while she was staying there my father sent false news that i am for a rape case, she was living only foe me. So when she heard this, by thinking it is true, she committed suicide. It made me to leave the home, because I was totally broken. Then I got a chance to study the word of god for two years. It was during my studies, one of my sisters, who was against of christian faith, accepted christ as her Lord and personal savior and took baptism. But, when her husbnd came to about her baptism, he told her to deny christ, but she did not do that. Then, her husband got angry and stabbed her 122 times, thus my sister martyred for christ. Still my realtives and all family members are with out christ, I have a great burden for them, because my mother and father died with out receiving christ, though they knew the truth, it disturbs me a lot. After my two years of theological studies I was working in Orissa and I established some churches over there. But my brother, who is an Hindu fundamentalist made some disturbances and I left that place. Then I came to Andra Pradesh and was involving in ministry in both Andra Pradesh and Orissa. In that time God has given me a privilege to do a six months course under YWAM ministiries. At present I am staying in Andra Pradesh and doing ministry in Andra Pradesh and in Orissa. My vision and passion to see that India becomes a Christian nation one day. Kindly pray for my ministries. |
