Pastor Shraban Kumar was born and brought up in a Hindu family, a village known as chhuriapali in Bargarh. His parents were doing all the rituals and
idol worship. There was even animal sacrifice once a year. Being the eldest in the family he was forced to perform certain rituals. One day his father got very
sick and that affected his family as his father was the only breadwinner of the family. Shraban was studying in 10th grade and during this time someone gave him
a gospel literature which he took it and he started to read. After a continuous reading his life changed and even his father was healed from that disease. In 2001
he got baptized and decided to go to bible school and chose to be a leader and led almost hundreds of people and spent his eight years in bible college. In
2008 he started ministry as a theological teacher. 
From 2009 to 2012 he was in Andhra Pradesh serving the Lord and he even had vision to go and serve in his birth place in western Odisha.
Today he has more than 30 house churches, cell groups and children ministries in Bargarh district and has volunteers who are serving among children, widow, orphan and are giving free tuition and also helping with medical treatment.
Pastor Shraban Kumar lives in Bargarh with his wife Surati Kumar and 11 years old girl Angel Gracey.
