Pastor Prasanta Kumar was born in a Christian family. Even though his parents were church going believers, Pastor Prasanta never understood the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But one day he met pastor Daniel Kumar who shared the importance of believing in Jesus and how necessary Jesus is in our lives. After this, Pastor Prasanta accepted Jesus as his saviorr, went back to his village and started telling others about the importance of having Jesus. He started making disciples for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Prasanta now is having 3 house churches in Luhasingha, Bhatli, and Hirli in Balangir District with 50 believers in each house church.
Pastor Prasanta Kumar is married to Pramila Kumar and they have two daughters Ruhama (25) and Manisha (22)

With a population of 19 million people, predominantly Hindus, Western Odisha (Koshal) has been in the news for a few years now, because of the huge  persecution against Christians in the state. Despite the persecution, the Lord is drawing thousands of people to Himself. The Christian population is growing
which consists mostly of the tribal people.
Western Odisha is experiencing revival as more and more people are coming to Christ. This is one of the most fertile field and stands out as one of the most missionary sending place in India.
