Pastor Kabiraj Kumbhar was born and raised in a Hindu family. He faithfully followed all the traditions and rituals and also he participated in numerous idol worships. He visited various temples and pilgrimages to seek blessings and guidance from the Hindu deities. Despite of being very devoted, he still felt that something was missing deep inside his heart and he was unable to experience the real peace.
One day, he met a friend who told him about Jesus and after hearing the name of Jesus, he felt an extraordinary peace. And then, he wanted to know more about Jesus. So he started reading the Bible and attending churches. He had discovered a faith that is built on love, forgiveness and eternal salvation. This experience gave him a new hope and a purpose. The peace he was searching for and the emptiness he had in his hear, was now filled with God’s love. He learned to love his family and friends unconditionally just like Jesus did.
He completed his theological training In Dehradun and then he started his own ministry in Loisingha, Balangir. He serves as a church planter and is discipling new believers.
Pastor Kabiraj Kumbhar lives in Loisingha with his wife Jayanti Kumbhar and with their 23 years old son Daniel Kumbhar and 21 years old daughter Rakshi Kumbhar.
