Ishika is a determined young girl who dreams of becoming a doctor and serving as a role model for her siblings and community. She comes from a large family with two
sisters and two brothers. Her father is frequently unemployed, making the family largely dependent on her mother’s modest income. While Asha workers assist their community through healthcare outreach, they do so without receiving salaries—adding to the challenges families like Ishika’s face.
In pursuit of a brighter future, Ishika was enrolled in the Naba Asha Children’s Home. Despite coming from a village with limited educational resources, she has found a nurturing and supportive environment at the Home. Here, she is gaining not only access to nutritious food and academic support, but also the opportunity to grow spiritually and personally.
