Adarsh Suna is a very shy boy in the 3rd grade. He comes from a very poor family. His father works as a driver and struggles with alcoholism. He comes home drunk every day and abuses Adarsh’s mother and the rest of the family.
Adarsh has a younger sister who has been suffering from tuberculosis for many years. Their mother takes care of her and frequently visits the hospital for her treatment.
Adarsh is very afraid of his father, as he often gets beaten when his father is drunk. Despite these challenges, Adarsh dreams of becoming a teacher when he
grows up. He wants to be a good man—one who does not drink or hurt others.
At Naba Asha, Adrash receives the love and care which he does not get at home. He is well cared for and he finds good food, shelter. and education.

Adarsh Suna tem origem humilde, o pai é motorista e tem problemas com alcoolismo. Quando chega em casa embriagado ele abusa esposa (mãe de Adarsh) e do restante da família. Tem uma irmã mais nova que há muitos anos sofre com turberculose. A mãe frequentente precisa leva-la ao hospital para tratamento.
Adarsh tem medo do pai que frequentemente bate muito nele quando está bebado.
